For a long time, I held out offering the Sprigg design feature “Performance Review Templates.” This feature basically allows the client the flexibility to create different approaches and frequency levels to measuring performance, for different audiences within the same organization. For example: the Sales Team vs the Client Care Team… each are accountable for specific deliverables; however, the Sales person may focus exclusively on meeting monthly “Targets” while Client Care may be measured on “Client Satisfaction Levels” perhaps reviewed every six months (as per surveys, etc.).
So, why did I hold out? Because I believe that one of the fundamentals of making a Performance Management process actually work is about consistency… and that translates into fairness. When everyone has a common and standard set of templates to which their individual performance is evaluated from, the process is viewed as reasonable, fair and more reliable. Sure, the metrics vary because the roles and responsibilities by position vary, but does the process of measuring performance really look that different?
Having said that… here’s what we’re going to do… we’re going to give you the choice. And we can do that because Sprigg is totally customizable. So again, you decide what remains ON or what gets turned OFF.
Sprigg is happy to introduce PRT-FLEX (no, that’s not a cleaner or a vitamin). It’s actually a cool way of saying: PERFORMANCE REVIEW TEMPLATES with FLEXIBILITY. And that means you can establish User-specific metrics (by User Group / team / individual) and evaluate these metrics using flexible rating scales, timelines and terminology.
