There are a number of essential tools and features that must be present in any online Performance Management offering in order to enable a seamless and positive Performance Review experience for everyone.

An absolute number one is the need for simplicity. Keeping the software straightforward, clean and uncomplicated is essential to adoption and ongoing engagement / usage. For example: “Performance Review Status” (provides a snapshot of various stages and sorted by Organization-wide, Team, Leader or Division and even individual. You will need basic reports to not only understand and track activities but to pull and study over time, analytics.

Last but certainly not least, is security. All kinds of options exist here ranging from where your provider hosts their servers to the offering of security measures such as Single Sign-On (SSO) or TFA (Two Factor Authentication).
