It was back in 2007 when I pulled the first Powerpoint slide together for Sprigg (the log in page) and decided: “Performance Management doesn’t have to be so complicated.” You know what? I was right.
Somewhere in the midst of improving the efficiency of this paper-based practice, online Performance Management solutions took on a ultra-sophisticated approach that pushed people even further away. Let’s face it…most people avoid this process in the first place. So, why are so many online vendors taking something people don’t like to do and are making it even less palatable? I honestly can’t answer that.
At SpriggHR, I can tell you it’s always been the philosophy we’ve prescribed to from day one. Simplicity is at the heart of the system because Managers don’t want to be HR Practitioners, they want a better way to talk with their people and track their progress – that’s it, nothing more.
I’ve watched a number of HR Software players enter the market, some great, some good and some…well, they just made Performance Management even harder. At SpriggHR we continue to uphold the basic promise of providing a simplistic approach to Performance Reviews without compromising the integrity of the process.
It’s been 8 years and I am proud and pleased to say that we have a 93% Renewal Rate with our customers. We’re doing lots of things right but mostly, it’s because we kept it simple, clean and headache-free for HR and all Users alike.
